Four years ago today, the United States was still asleep and believing it was safe and secure from all the insanity in the world. It is unreal to me that it has already been four years since our country came under attack and changed ALL of our lives forever.
I've been watching "specials" all week about 9/11 and it still hurts me to the core. The many survival stories, and especially the stories or heroism by civilians and emergeny responders helps to give me hope. I've read many of the transcripts that have been released in the last couple of months and they give me an even more understanding of how brave and selfless the fire and police men and women truly were. They tried until their very last breath to save as many people as they could - even after it was apparent that the building was going to crumble down around them.
