I've decided to place a political banner on my website for Casinos No! I really don't like the way the casinos bill is written for the November 4th election. I'm not sure whether or not I ever want a casino in Maine, but I do know I don't like this bill. The banner will be taken off after the election. Feel free to e-mail me if you feel you can enlighten me.

I'm glad I fell asleep last night while the Red Sox were still leading! There were a lot of angry people at school today. Kind of funny how personal people took the loss. There was some rioting on a couple of campuses in Maine. Here's what I have to say to these people:
1 - IT'S JUST A GAME PEOPLE!
2 - YOU DON'T PLAY ON THE TEAM!
3 - GET A HOBBY!
That's all - now back to your surfing.

I believe all the studying for the Philosophy mid-term paid off this morning. I felt pretty confident on a majority of the questions on the 50-question exam. I liked the multiple-choice questions a lot more than the true or false questions. I came up with True on every single T/F question. Hardly believe that could happen, but I'll just have to wait until I get the exam back to see for sure.
I'm relaxing and watching the Red Sox lead in the bottom of the 7th inning of game seven right now. I really hope the Red Sox can go all the way this year! I'm not a big fan of baseball, but out of respect for my late grandfather, I've been watching the games and chearing on the Sox. Would be nice to see them bring an end to the decades old "curse of the Bambino"
Time to show my age again...I was flipping through some channels and saw a commercial for a new show on MTV called "Rich Girls." It is glorifying the story of two "normal" girls that are children of multi-millionaires, and how they are as normal as any of girls. Give me a break! I can remember when MTV started back in the early 80's when they actually played music videos! Sometimes I'll stop on the channel when I'm surfing through the channels, and I don't think I've seen a video played in the last few years. Now it seems to be a channel that only shows stories about the rich people - is this supposed to make us feel better about ourselves, or happy for the supposed rich person? I don't see the entertainment of "The Osbornes" or "Cribs." Is this a definite sign that I'm getting old?! I do enjoy "I Love the 80's" on VH1 by the way! Enough bitching for now!

I'm sitting in my recliner taking a break from the books (and there are many books)! Have a mid-term in Philosophy this Thursday, and I'm not excited about it. Been busting my butt trying to re-read all the chapters and go over my notes, but I don't feel too confident about it.
My daughters last field hockey game is tomorrow. They've had a tremendously successful season - again! I'm glad she's enjoying her time with the game.

I had my first real exam this week in my Principles of Management course. I got a 90, but should have done better. It was multiple-choice and I would have scored better had I re-read the questions I answered wrong. I have a big quiz in my Philosophy course tomorrow - I am not looking forward to it one bit! I'm starting to get a little bit of a clue in MicroEconomics, but feel I still have a long way to go in order to grasp it totally.
My daughter's field hockey team continues to do very well. They have a record of 6-2-1 for the season. It's a real pleasure to take time away from work and homework to go watch her play.
My Sappi job is starting to wear my nerves thin. I would really enjoy it more if I could practice some of my computer skills instead of being an errand boy. I'm probably just being crabby about it and should just be thankful for the extra income. I just feel like a co-op position should benefit me, as well as the company. Right now, I believe they are the only ones benefiting.
