Saddam is depressed! Excuse me while I try to work up a tear for him. Yet MSNBC.com has decided that this is news-worthy: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6053746/

This lunatic is sticking with the defense that he was just doing what was right for his country. Here is a direct quote from the article:
“Saddam and his colleagues are not the giants that the media sometimes talks about,” Allawi said in an interview with the pan Arab al-Hayat newspaper. “Saddam sent us an oral message in which he begged for mercy. He said that they were working in the public interest and did not mean any harm.”
I wonder how many of the thousands of corpses of murdered civilians that have been uncoverd in unmarked graves begged for mercy from this animal. I find no sympathy for Saddam. I'm still hopeful justice will prevail when he is brought to trial.

I'm finally back in school. Totally too much homework, but it keeps the brain firing on all cylinders!

I'm absolutely disgusted with the tactics of the Republicans and Democrats as we get closer to the Presidential election. It's sometimes embarrising being an American with these fools going at each other about what they did or did not do over 30 years ago. I for one do not care. Both served in their own way, which is better than the prior President did. All I can do for now is wait for the election day and cast my vote.
